Substitute Teachers


Bad Axe Public Schools along with other Huron County School Districts teamed up with EDUStaff to provide their substitute teaching services.

In addition to the online application, you will need to attend a 2-hour workshop with EDUStaff at the Huron ISD. During this workshop they will verify identification, scan paperwork, and answer any questions you may have that day.

Meeting dates are scheduled for the following dates below from 10 am - 12 pm, at the Huron ISD Administration office:
10/5, 11/2, 12/7, 1/11/19, 2/1/19, 3/1/19, and 4/12/19.


Educational requirements to become a Substitute are the following:
*     Substitute Paraprofessional: High School Diploma, or GED,
*     Substitute Teacher: 60 credits from one or more accredited 2 or 4-year college or university.  Official transcripts must be submitted either electronically from the school or in hard copy from the college/university.
*     With the new minimum changing from 90 credits to 60 credits to teacher sub, something important to note is an individual under the age of 22 can only accept teaching assignments in grades K-8.
